Reydero Community Guidelines

Read widely. Speak thoughtfully.

Reydero is built around books, ideas, learning and people. These guidelines help keep the community thoughtful, welcoming, creative and safe for everyone.

A better community starts with how we treat people.

Bring your curiosity, your perspective and your lessons. Leave room for someone else's perspective too.

Our Standard

Build the kind of community you'd want to join.

Reydero exists to make reading and learning more social. That only works when people feel comfortable sharing an idea, asking a question, disagreeing respectfully and discovering something new.

These guidelines apply to the content and behaviour we allow on Reydero. They are meant to give the community a clear standard while leaving room for different opinions, cultures, backgrounds and ways of thinking.

You do not have to agree with everyone. You do have to treat people with basic dignity.

The Reydero Way

Four things we want to protect.

R

Respect

Treat people as people, even when you disagree with them.

C

Curiosity

Ask questions, explore ideas and remain open to learning.

H

Honesty

Share authentically and don't intentionally deceive people.

S

Safety

Help make Reydero a place where people can participate without fear.

Our Community Rules

What belongs on Reydero.

The following standards apply across profiles, posts, comments, reels, stories and other community interactions.

01

Treat people with respect

Disagreement is welcome. Personal attacks, humiliation, targeted harassment and deliberately cruel behaviour are not. Challenge ideas without attacking the person behind them.

02

Don't harass or bully

Repeatedly targeting someone, threatening them, encouraging others to attack them or using Reydero to intimidate another person can harm the community and may result in action.

03

No hate or discrimination

Reydero should not be used to attack, dehumanize or promote hatred toward people based on protected or personal characteristics.

04

Don't threaten violence

Threats of violence, encouragement of violence or content intended to create fear through threats are not appropriate for the community.

05

Keep sexual and explicit content out

Reydero is a reading and learning community. Sexual exploitation, sexually explicit material and inappropriate sexual content do not belong here.

06

Don't impersonate people

Do not pretend to be another person, creator, organization or Reydero representative in a way that could deceive or harm others.

07

Don't spam or manipulate

Avoid repetitive unwanted posts, artificial engagement, deceptive promotion, misleading campaigns and behaviour designed to manipulate community interactions.

08

Respect privacy

Don't publish another person's private information, personal details or sensitive material without a legitimate reason and appropriate permission.

09

Respect copyright

Share content you created or have the right to share. Don't upload or distribute copyrighted books, images, videos or other protected material without the necessary rights.

10

Don't deliberately deceive people

Don't use Reydero to intentionally create false identities, fake evidence or deceptive narratives designed to defraud, manipulate or seriously mislead others.

11

Protect the reading experience

Keep discussions connected to meaningful conversation wherever possible. Excessive disruption, baiting and intentionally derailing discussions can damage the experience for everyone.

12

Don't exploit vulnerable people

Do not use Reydero to exploit, manipulate or intentionally target vulnerable people. If someone's safety may be at risk, prioritize reporting the concern.

We encourage this.

  • Share what a book taught you.
  • Explain your perspective.
  • Disagree respectfully.
  • Ask thoughtful questions.
  • Give constructive feedback.
  • Credit creators.
  • Help new readers feel welcome.
  • Report genuine safety concerns.

Don't do this.

  • Attack someone personally.
  • Harass someone repeatedly.
  • Publish private information.
  • Threaten or encourage violence.
  • Impersonate another person.
  • Spam or artificially manipulate engagement.
  • Upload content you don't have rights to share.
  • Use the platform to deliberately deceive or harm people.
Across Reydero

Every format has the same responsibility.

Posts

Use posts to share ideas, reading experiences, lessons and meaningful discussions. Avoid spam, harassment, copied content and deliberately misleading information.

Reels

Short-form video should follow the same community standards as other content. Creative does not mean harmful, deceptive or abusive.

Stories

Stories may feel temporary, but the responsibility to treat people respectfully still applies. Temporary content is not a free pass to harass or harm someone.

Comments

Comments should add to a conversation, ask useful questions or express an opinion without turning into personal attacks.

Profiles

Your profile represents you within the community. Don't use it to impersonate another person, deceive users or promote harmful behaviour.

Reader Discussions

Different interpretations are part of reading. You can disagree about a book without disrespecting the reader who understood it differently.

See Something Wrong?

Speak up. Help protect the community.

If you encounter content or behaviour that appears to violate these guidelines, don't feel that you have to handle it yourself.

Use Reydero's available reporting tools or contact support. Give us enough information to understand what happened.

01 — Identify Find the relevant post, profile, comment or story.
02 — Report Use the available reporting mechanism.
03 — Explain Provide useful context about the concern.
04 — Contact Contact support if no suitable report option exists.
Enforcement

What happens when guidelines are broken?

When Reydero becomes aware of content or behaviour that may violate these guidelines, we may review the relevant situation and take action where appropriate.

Depending on the seriousness, frequency and circumstances of a violation, possible actions may include removing content, limiting certain features, issuing warnings, restricting an account or taking other appropriate action.

Serious behaviour may require stronger action, especially where there are credible threats, exploitation, severe harassment, illegal activity or significant risks to other people.

Enforcement decisions may consider context, intent, severity, repetition and potential harm. Not every disagreement or unpopular opinion is automatically a guideline violation.

A Note From The Founder

Reydero should make people want to come back.

I believe a good platform is not defined only by the features it offers. It is also defined by how people feel when they use it.

Reydero is being built around a simple idea: books can change us, and sharing what we learn can help change someone else. I want Reydero to be a place where people can express ideas, discover perspectives and grow together without losing respect for one another.

Chandan Giri
Founder & CEO, Reydero

Keep Reydero thoughtful.

Read something that changes your perspective. Share something that might help someone else. Disagree with ideas without losing respect for the person behind them.
